Mishaps can occur when working on a project and hot glue may need to be removed from a cement block wall. Only press gently too. Begin by physically removing the hardened glue with a putty knife or similar dull edge. It is administered with a hot glue gun and is rather simple to manage when freshly applied.

Steps to remove the glue. Immediately after ironing remove the newspapers and use a long handled scraper to get rid of the glue residue. Scrape the glue while it is hot. If the residue cools down and becomes tough replace the newspaper and iron the area again.

In order to make the scrubbing more effective mix one gallon of hot water with one cup of ammonia and a tablespoon of liquid detergent in a container. Place the scraper on the ground making sure the trailing edge is facing up and push it into the glue. Boiling water can soften the glue. You don t want to push the glue further into the wall you only want to melt it.

I literally stumbled on this while working with hot glue over 20 years ago at a previous job. Scrub the concrete with the scouring pad until all the glue is removed. Rub a warm iron over it. Hot glue can however be somewhat difficult to remove once it has hardened.

Pour the mixture on the concrete glue and allow it to sit for about three minutes. Easily remove dried hot glue aka hot melt. Just put the iron on the low setting no steam and be sure to keep moving it around so it doesn t scorch one area.
